Description:Eucalyptol is a colorless oily or light yellow liquid with a faint characteristic aroma of camphor and a pungent and refreshing taste of camphor. It is completely insoluble in water.
It is easily soluble in ethanol at 70%.
It is miscible in absolute alcohol and fatty oils.
Eucalyptol, essential oil of eucalyptus, is used to dissolve the gutta-percha, it is very little irritating and shows an antibacterial activity.
